About Mag100
October 9th, 2009 | No Comments »G:
An Antipodean, some people know who I really am, many don’t; that suits me just fine.
You’ll find me plying my trade as the Design, Brand and Product manager over at Mountain Cycle as well as my own wee little brand, Lab-Gear and other various projects and bike related undertakings most seem to think skirt the fringes of lunacy.
MAG100????
I started this blogging thing back in 2004 or so and due to my own vagrancies floated between different names ever since. ‘Mag100′, was the second name of the Lab-Gear blog, from back around 2005 and ‘dp[r]m’ – Disruptive Pattern [reading] Material, was the name for a while in 2006.
Finally, after various laps around the digital blog field, I have come back to ‘Mag100′, possibly for sentimental reasons. Where the name came from originally I honestly have no idea, it just arrived one day and rang my bell. Whoop, there it is.
What’s it about? Well, Mag100 is my collective musings from deep within the design studio chop shop that fuels the various projects I work on. Lots of things interest, amuse and bemuse me, so having a place to stick them all is sorta nice. Likewise, it’s nice to have a place to ‘communicate’ at a deeper level with those people that I interact with, be they customers or work colleagues, especially since they are spread out around the globe.
So what you’ll find here are a eclectic mix of new, views and reviews as well as smatterings of other things I do, both for ‘work’ and for personal (‘switched off’) projects. I am not going to be PC here or try to be only rated PG for the sensitive types, this is my patch away from all of that.
Things I like:
My collection of now apparently ‘vintage’ Rotring 600 fountain pens and pens, paper, my Mountain Cycle San Andreas, and that silly $25 RC helicopter.
